DON'T OVERHEAT TOO MUCH!
Thanks to a simulation carried out in-house by our R&D department, we have verified that it is the graphite that causes the contact wire to overheat and not viceversa.
This is why the introduction of copper contact elements significantly reduces overheating!
With this type of pantograph and by exploiting the heat dissipation provided by the aluminium profile of Gruppo Bonomi's rigid catenary, standstill currents in excess of 1000A can be achieved.
